Data Dynamics, Inc. is a data management company based out of Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, United States, founded by Piyush Mehta in 2012. The company has its other offices in Pune - India, Harrow - London, United Kingdom, and Houston, Texas - United States.[1]

History

Data Dynamics was founded by Piyush Mehta, a serial storage entrepreneur, in 2012. Data Dynamics quickly became a market leader in holistic data management due to its unified unstructured data management platform, StorageX, which became core software for many companies’ storage strategies.[2]

StorageX was initially a file management product developed by NuView Systems in 2002, which Brocade Communications Systems later acquired in 2006. In 2012, Data Dynamics acquired the StorageX intellectual property from Brocade and evolved it into a unified data management platform.[3] [2]

Products

Data Dynamics looks to solve data issues with its unified data management platform portfolio. The platform allows enterprises to get a comprehensive view of data stored, where it is stored, its use and risk profiles, and the ability to fix, migrate and monitor it. The platform combines its core product StorageX, Insight AnalytiX, and ControlX.[4]

StorageX applies analytics to help uncover hidden data assets, unlocks and migrates data from any vendor or technology to any other, replicates and archives data, and controls, manages, and collapses file resources to improve file system utilization and management.[5]

Insight AnalytiX deals with managing and moving unstructured data. It also identifies where sensitive data should be stored and how to keep it secure. The product offers full search capacity and uses metadata to help classify and move files.[6]

ControlX is backed by blockchain technology, and it mitigates modern storage security risks. It uses RESTful APIs to integrate with existing storage environments and offers intelligent file repermissioning and immutable audit reporting.[7]
