Dave Horne is an American author, talk radio host, and business executive.

Early life and education[edit]

Horne was born December 27, 1952, in Cambridge, Massachusetts and grew up in Acton, Massachusetts and attended Acton Boxborough Regional High School. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1975 and Northeastern University in 1982.[citation needed]

Business career[edit]

After a brief stint at a company called Concentra, Horne joined Aspect Development as Chief Marketing Officer and was named Senior Vice President in 1999.[1][2] Horne left i2 and became the President and CEO of a company called XPORTA.[3]

In 2008 he published his first book, Career Secret Sauce: 9 Winning Strategies For Building a Great Career. The book received a favorable review from Joan Keorber Walker, the former CEO of the Arizona Small Business Administration.[4][5] Next he published the eBook, Is This The Last Generation of Middle Class Americans?[6] In February 2009, Dave Horne began hosting the radio show, The Career Mechanic on the Web Talk Radio Network.[7]
