Dave Smith (born October 22, 1951) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey defenceman. Smith was selected by the St. Louis Blues in the 7th round (94th overall) of the 1971 NHL Amateur Draft.[1]
Smith played major junior hockey with the Regina Pats before turning professional with the 1971–72 Kansas City Blues of the Central Hockey League. He went on to play with the Fort Worth Wings during the 1972–73 season, and with the Columbus Owls for the 1973–74 season, before retiring from hockey after playing 19 games with the 1974–75 Kalamazoo Wings .
