David Belle Isle is an American politician, who served as Mayor of Alpharetta, Georgia from 2012 to 2018.[2][3] A member of the Republican Party, he was a candidate in the 2022 Georgia Secretary of State election.

Early life and education[edit]

Isle grew up in Gainesville, Georgia, and graduated from North Hall High School. He graduated from University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing in 1997, earning his Juris Doctor and MBA degrees in 2000. He subsequently worked in law and litigation, opening his own practice in 2005.[4]

Career[edit]

David Belle Isle served on the Alpharetta City Council from 2006 to 2010.[5][6][7] Isle served for Post 5.[8]

In the 2018 election, he was a candidate for Georgia Secretary of State,[9] losing in the runoff election to Brad Raffensperger.[10]

In March 2021, he announced that he would run again for Secretary of State in 2022.[11][12]

Personal life[edit]

Isle met his wife Candice while at University of Georgia, and they married in 1997.[13]
