David Friel
David Friel was born in Bury, England.
He was raised in Duntocher/Dalmuir Clydebank, Scotland. He attended St Mary's Primary Chapel Road, then St Columba's High School, Gilmore Street, Clydebank. He went on to study Video Production and Editing at Clydebank College; however, the course was cancelled due to low class numbers.
Friel met his wife in high school, although their relationship began in 2012. They married in 2014 and separated in February 2017. He has appeared in a number of television programs and films, such as River City, Waterloo Road, Murder, and several films: Scottish Mussel (2016), Champagne Room (2016), Mother (2017), The Replacement (2017), Clique (2017), and The Loch (2017).
He is an active member of Trossachs Search and Rescue, a USAR team that provides search dogs for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, and a responder for the Scottish Ambulance Service.
