David Iachetta (born 10 in Oupeye, Belgium) is a Belgian entrepreneur, investor, author and businessman active in the financial sector, with current investments in Digital and Gamification companies.[1]
In 2000, David Iachetta started his career in Luxembourg in the banking sector.[2] Ten years later, David founded Mobilu[3], an award-winning mobility company[4] that strives to bring its expertise to businesses facing new technology challenges. That's when his career as an investor and entrepreneur began.
In 2019, with many projects in between, like Bravon,[5] Apperitivo,[6] Inception Capital,[7] David wrote the book *We Are All Gamers* about the industry of gamification and started his path as an author.[8]
Biography
With a remarkable record in digital-based expertise since 2000, David developed his soft and hard skills by investing in and developing disruptive businesses and tackling complex challenges.[9][10] From TEDx Talks[11] to "coffee" meetings, he is always discussing, sharing, and learning about Digital and Gamification.[12][13][14]
Throughout his career, David has had international exposure starting from Belgium then Luxembourg, Portugal, France and the UK where he developed a deep understanding of the global business and multicultural environment. That's how he built his reputation and position in the European business world.
After graduating in Computer Science at the Institut Saint-Laurent in Belgium, David developed tech and digital-driven abilities to help and support companies in need. Always seeking to promote digital transformation within businesses, in 2008, David started helping companies with his expertise.[15]
After founding Mobilu, in 2014 David founded Bravon, a Portuguese company specialized in gamification and creating engagement platforms able to help companies connect and engage their employees.[16] Four years later, in 2018, David merged his passion for Belgian Beer and the digital world by creating the Apperitivo franchise. A marketing agency specialized in the Beer industry with a Beer Marketplace, Directory and an Academy for Brewing lovers.[17]
In 2019, David started his path as an author. *We Are All Gamers*[18] is a personal-based guide on how to engage younger generations in modern digital workplaces, as he says "The challenge today, regarding all different generations and business sectors, is to engage, attract, get to genuinely know and manage those who are now the majority of the working population."
In 2020, David made a statement on developing his presence in the business world. His knowledge and experience in understanding the needs and benefits of startups’ existence allowed him to create a private equity fund investing in new technologies.[19] In 2020, David also sold part of his equity of Mobilu to the Luxembourgish Law firm Arendt & Medernach.[20]
