David Iachetta (born 10 in Oupeye, Belgium) is a Belgic entrepreneur-investor, author and businessman active in the financial sector, with current investment in Digital and Gamification companies.[1]
In 2000, David Iachetta started his career in Luxembourg on the banking sector.[2] Ten years later David founded Mobilu[3] an awarded mobility company[4] that strives every day in bringing its expertise to business facing new technology challenges. That's when his career as an investor and entrepreneur began.
In 2019, with lots of projects in between like, Bravon,[5] Apperitivo,[6] Inception Capital,[7] David wrote the book We Are All Gamers about the industry of gamification and started his author path.[8]
Biography[edit]
With a remarkable record in digital-based expertise since 2000, David developed his soft and hard skills by investing and developing disruptive businesses and ambiguous challenges.[9][10] From TEDx Talks[11] to "coffee" meetings, he's always discussing sharing and learning about: Digital and Gamification.[12][13][14]
Throughout his career, David had an international exposure starting from Belgium then Luxembourg, Portugal, France and the UK where he developed a deep understanding of the global business and multicultural environment. That's how he built his reputation and position in the European business world.
After graduating in Computer Science at the Institut Saint-Laurent in Belgium, David developed tech and digital-driven ability to help and suppress companies in need. Always seeking to promote digital transformation within businesses, in 2008, David started helping companies in need with his expertise.[15]
After founding Mobilu, in 2014 David found Bravon, a Portuguese company specialized in gamification and creating engagement platforms able to help companies to connect and engage their employees.[16] Four years later, in 2018, David merges his passion for Belgian Beer and the digital, by creating the Apperitivo franchise. A Marketing agency specialized in the Beer industry with a Beer Marketplace, Directory and an Academy for Brewing lovers.[17]
In 2019, David started his author path. 'We Are All Gamers'[18] is a personal-based guide in how to engage younger generations in modern digital workplaces, as he says "The challenge today, regarding all different generations and business sectors, is to engage, attract, get to genuinely know and manage those who are now the majority of the working population."
In 2020, David made a statement on developing his presence in the business world. His knowledge and experience in understanding the needs and benefits of startups' existence, allowed him to create a private equity fund investing in new technologies.[19] In 2020, David also sold part of his equity of Mobilu to the Luxembourgish Law firm Arendt & Medernach.[20]
