David Peikon (born 1958) is an American contemporary realist painter. He is best known for his naturalistic landscapes, seascapes, and formal portraiture. His work is held in private and corporate collections globally and frequently features subjects from the American Northeast, Long Island, Colorado, and the Pacific Northwest.
Early life and corporate career
Peikon was born in 1958 and developed a passion for painting during his early teenage years. Encouraged to pursue a traditional and financially secure career path, he attended the State University of New York at Cortland, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in 1979.
Following college, Peikon spent 15 years working in the commercial printing industry in New York City, eventually serving as Vice President of Sales at Federal Business Products. In 1996, at the age of 38, he left the corporate sector to devote himself full-time to painting.

Though initially self-taught, Peikon later undertook formal studies in classical drawing and representational oil painting through intensive workshops and fine art programs:
