David Ramsden, known professionally as David Ramms, is a British vegan and animal rights YouTuber and content creator. A former Human Resources professional,[1] he left his career to focus on advocacy for animal rights and veganism through social media, public speaking and interviews.
Personal life[edit]
Ramms was born David Ramsden in Preston, England. A lifetime vegetarian, he became a vegan at the age of 19 after he started questioning why people drink milk in the first place. [2]
Animal rights advocacy[edit]
Ramms has been involved in animal rights street activism and public speaking events across Europe, India and the UK, promoting groups such as Anonymous for the Voiceless and working for Animal Save Movement, an organisation that holds vigil events outside slaughterhouses.
Ramms has commented that "It doesn't matter who you are, black, white, asian, native, gay, straight, bi, male, female, neither, whatever, if you are using and consuming animal products, you are funding the slavery, rape, abuse and killing of animals."[2]
Professional life[edit]
Ramms graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in Biological and Biomedical Psychology before beginning work in Human Resources and Recruitment. After working in this field for some years, Ramms made the decision to leave his career and focus entirely on vegan and animal rights related work, which consisted predominantly of speaking arrangements and social media content creation.
Shortly after, Ramms began working for Animal Save Movement creating video content for the organisation. Ramms no longer works for this organisation due conflict within the organisation. [3]
Since then and at present Ramms works as a content creator for his own brand and social media which has a growing presence [4] on YouTube [5] and a large following on Instagram [6]
