David Wygant
David Wygant (born 1962[1]) is a dating coach and public speaker[2] and author.
Wygant is on the board of Patty Stanger's "Millionaire's Club",[3] and has been viewed[by whom?] as inspiration for the 2005 film Hitch.[4][5][6][7]
Early life[edit]
Originally from Scarsdale in New York, Wygant went to Scarsdale High School and was in their class of 1980.[8] He is currently based in Los Angeles.[9]
Career[edit]
Wygant has been involved in the coaching and lifestyle community since 1997, became "full-time" in 2000.[10]
In 2003, he was one of the first dating coaches in America, and although he has been described as a pickup artist by some,[11] he does not agree with this categorization.[12] Wygant runs a blog, and conducts individualized coaching, seminars and boot camps.[11]
Wygant has written a number of books, including Always Talk to Strangers: 3 Simple Steps to Finding the Love of Your Life and Naked!: How to Find the Perfect Partner by Revealing Your True Self.[citation needed] He has been interviewed on KTLA Los Angeles,[13] MTV,[14] and in the New York Times[1] (to which he has been a contributor[15]), Women's Health,[16] MSNBC, Fox News, Cosmopolitan, Men's Health and E! Entertainment Television, as well as over 2,000 radio shows.[2] He is also a contributor to the Huffington Post[2] and AskMen.com,[17] and is the lead writer for Yahoo! Personals.[2]
