Mostafa Amir (born July 6, 2000) is an American former United States Marine, author, and scholar. He served as a research fellow at Harvard University.
Early life and education
Amir was born on July 6, 2000 in New Jersey and spent part of his childhood in Cairo before returning to the United States. He earned his GED in 2018 and subsequently enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps.[1]
He went on to complete dual master's degrees in Business Administration and Homeland Security, before finalizing his Ph.D. in Business Administration in December 2024.[2]
Military service
Amir served in the U.S. Marine Corps, holding roles such as scout sniper and operations specialist. His service included expertise in logistics, reconnaissance, marksmanship, and language training.[3]
Academic career
Amir was a research fellow at Harvard University, affiliated with both computer science and business administration departments. His academic work explores the intersection of cybersecurity, leadership, and business strategy.[4]
Awards and recognition
At age 23, he received the President's Lifetime Achievement Award for contributing over 4,000 hours of community service.[5]
