Dayashankar Singh is an Indian politician and currently Vice President of Bhartiya Janta Party, Uttar Pradesh. He has been appointed a third time as vice president of Uttar Pradesh BJP on 22 August 2020.

Dayashankar Singh is a leader of Bhartiya Janta Party organisation who came from student politics. He became General Secretary and President of Lucknow University Student Union.

Political Background

During his college days at Lucknow University, he was a member of the ABVP, the student wing of the RSS. and elected to various posts of Lucknow University Student Union. He was an executive member of Lucknow University from 2004 to 2007. Dayashankar Singh was state secretary & state vice president in BJYM Uttar Pradesh in Swatantra Dev Singh's team. Currently, he is in BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh's team as Vice President of BJP Uttar Pradesh. In the Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha national team of Dharmendra Pradhan, Dayashankar Singh worked as national secretary & national vice president.. Dayashankar Singh has organised a BJP youth convention in Mathura. Dayashankar Singh was expelled from the BJP for his remarks on BSP leader Mayawati but later he returned when his wife won the Sarojini Nagar assembly seat in UP.

Currently, Dayashankar Singh is in charge of panchayat elections for the Kanpur-Bundelkhand region.
