Luís Sérgio Álvares DeRose (born February 18, 1944), known by the name DeRose, is the originator of the "DeROSE Method", an interweaving of concepts and techniques that promote a conscientious and personalized behavioral reprogramming with the objective of better quality of life, better nutrition, better manners, better relationships, improved culture, better physique, better atmosphere and better ideals. [1]
He codified SwáSthya Yôga, a style of Yôga based in the Tantra and Sāṃkhya principles, by retrieving the Dakshinacharatántrika-Niríshwarasámkhya Yôga, "without adding, deleting or occidentalyzing anything." [2]
From 1960 to 2000, Prof. DeRose lectured and taught courses in almost all Federal and Catholic Universities in Brazil, at the Universidade Lusófona, in Lisboa and Universidade do Porto, in Portugal and the Universidade Tecnológica Nacional, in Argentina. He published his first book in 1969 and later more than 20 books in many countries in the Americas and Europe. He has given hundreds of interviews at newspapers, magazines, radio and TV in Brazil, Argentina and Portugal. It was during this time that DeRose also expanded his teaching to Paris, London, Roma, Madrid, Barcelona, New Delhi, Mumbai, Agra, Khajuraho and Rishikêsh.[3]
