DeWayne P. Frazier is the president/vice-chancellor of the American University of Nigeria in Yola, Nigeria.[1] He was appointed March 27, 2023, succeeding David Huwiler.
Before coming to the American University of Nigeria, Frazier served for eight years as University Provost at Iowa Wesleyan University.[2]
Personal life
DeWayne Frazier was born in Bardstown, Kentucky, but grew up in Lebanon Junction, Kentucky. He is the father of six children: Blaine, Zachary, Safari, Kiera, Sandrine, and Moses. DeWayne Frazier is the first in his immediate family to complete high school, and he would go on to complete a doctorate degree. He was raised by his maternal grandparents, Evelyn and Earl Frazier.
