Death Bed Confession is an American heavy metal group based in Denver, Colorado, who formed in 2010 after meeting in a coffee shop in Lafayette, Colorado.[1] The band consists of lead vocalist Jay Quintana, guitarists James Chandler and Brian David, bassist Paul Henry, keyboardist Marc Solomon and drummer Dingo Holtz.

Death Bed Confession released their self-titled debut album on January 12, 2011.[2]

Band history[edit]

  • The band will be included on the upcoming Metal Compilation Album[3] released on Shred Rock Records and Interscope Records.
  • In 2011, band received more than 32,000 votes to play the Vans' Warped Tour in Denver, Colorado, as part of the online battleofthebands.com.[4]
  • The band's first performance was at The Zone in Lafayette, Colorado.[5] On June 25, 2011, they performed at the famed Whisky a Go Go.[6]
  • Prior to the formation of Death Bed Confession, Jay Quintana was a member Citizen Pain with Mike Learn.[7]
  • In March, 2012, the band successfully toured Europe, opening for L.A. Guns (Tracii Guns version). The band toured with guest vocalist, Richard Ferguson (formerly of Seattle-based Eternal Daze), as Jay Quintana was not able to make the trip.
  • In May 2013 the band successfully toured Norway receiving rave reviews from the fans.
  • In June 2014 the band headlined their Norwegian Invasion Tour of the southwest US bringing along their Norwegian friends to rock the US.
  • In December 2014 New Year's Eve opened for Texas Hippie Coalition to a sold-out crowd.
  • In September 2015 performed at Full Terror Assault music festival in Illinois.
  • In October 2015, completed a European tour supporting Master with shows in Zurich, Milan, Venice, Hamburg and Prague.
  • In March 2016, original singer Jay Quintana returned to front the band. DBC is now recording new material to be released in early 2017.
  • On October 8, 2016, the web site Metal Invader announced Death Bed Confession would be one of the opening acts for legendary U.S. death metal pioneers Six Feet Under on the 2016 X-mass In Hell tour.[8]

Musical style and influences[edit]

The musical style of the band is influenced from European metal bands of the mid- and late-1970s[1][9] with a sound similar to Queensrÿche, Black Sabbath, Pantera.[10]
