Death by Metal is considered to be the first release from Death. It is also known as one of the first death metal releases[1], drawing comparisons to American death metal band Possessed's 1985 studio album Seven Churches. This release also has an early version of the song "Evil Dead" that would be featured on Death's first studio album Scream Bloody Gore, released in 1987.
