Death on the Nile is an upcoming mystery thriller film directed by Kenneth Branagh, based on the Agatha Christi novel of the same name and sequel to Murder on the Orient Express.
Premise[edit]
Poirot investigating a murder during a luxurious cruise on the Nile River that he just happens to be on. But just as he identifies a motley collection of would-be killers, several of the suspects also meet their demise.

Development[edit]
It was announced in November 2017 that 20th Century Fox will produce Death on the Nile, after the release of Murder on the Orient Express, with Michael Green adapting the novel and Kenneth Branagh will direct and return as Poirot in the movie.[1] In September 2018, Gal Gadot was casted as Linnet Ridgeway Doyle in the film.[2] On 3 October 2018, Armie Hammer was casted in the film.[3] On 13 October 2019, Tom Bateman was set to return as Bouc.[4] In April 2019, Letitia Wright was casted as Rosalie Otterbourne in the film.[5] In June 2019, Annette Bening was in talk to play Euphemia in the film.[6]
Filming[edit]
In April 2019, Principal photography will start at the end of September 2019.[5]
Release[edit]
The film is scheduled for release on October 2, 2020.[4]
