Deborah Peoples (born June 24, 1952) is an American politician and Democratic Party activist. Since 2013, she has served as chairwoman of the Tarrant County Democratic Party in Fort Worth, Texas.[1][2] On January 15, 2019, Peoples announced her candidacy for mayor in the May 4, 2019 Fort Worth mayoral election. [1][3][4]

Peoples was a vice president at AT&T U-verse before she retired in 2012 after 33 years with the same company. [1]

Since 2013, Peoples has served as chairwoman of the Tarrant County Democratic Party. [1]
Fort Worth mayoral campaign[edit]
On January 15, 2019, Peoples announced her candidacy in the 2019 Fort Worth mayoral election, challenging four-term incumbent mayor Betsy Price.[1]
