DeepOnion

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

DeepOnion is an open-source, public, blockchain-based cryptocurrency that focuses on privacy. It runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android. The DeepOnion blockchain processes transactions over Tor (anonymity network). As a result, users' IP address is protected.[1] DeepOnion uses the OBSF4 system, a TCP protocol consisting of concealment layers, to mask the content protocol information. [2]

History

The DeepOnion project was launched in July 2017.[3]90% of DeepOnion was pre-mined, and 70% of it was air-dropped to the community.[4]The 40-week airdrop ended on April 20, 2018. [5]

Wallets

A client software, so-called a wallet, is used to send and receive Onion. The standard desktop wallets are available on Windows, macOS, and Linux.[6]An Android DeepOnion wallet can be downloaded by smartphone users.[7]
