Research and publications
Ray has authored several research papers on topics including astrobiology, ethics in autonomous vehicles, and asteroid characterization. His notable publications include:
- "Extremophiles and Their Implications for Astrobiology" (2024), co-authored with Ananya Noronha, which explores organisms thriving in extreme conditions and their relevance to the search for extraterrestrial life[4]
- "Orbital and Physical Characterization of Main-Belt Asteroid 2022 UO26" (2024)
- "Ethics in Motion: Navigating Moral Dilemmas in Car-Related Scenarios" (2025), examining ethical frameworks including care ethics in autonomous vehicle decision-making[5]
- "A Critical Analysis of the X-tractor Pipeline: Methodological Rigor, Reproducibility Constraints, and Epistemological Limitations in Social Media Sentiment Extraction" (2026), co-authored with Nimeesh S K and Hrishikesh R T[6]
His work on extremophiles became one of the top papers on SSRN with over 700 views and more than 100 downloads.[7]
Professional affiliations
