Deepwatch is a US-based cybersecurity company that provides managed detection and response (MDR) services for organizations and enterprises. Deepwatch provides early detection and response to cyber threats with tailored guidance from their experts to help mitigate risk and improve security posture. The company can provide security operations center (SOC) services in full or support in-house security organizations as an extension of their teams.
History[edit]
Deepwatch was launched as a managed security services provider in 2019, spinning out of GuidePoint Security. With beginnings as the “vSOC” (virtual Security Operations Center) offering within GuidePoint in 2016, Deepwatch spun out on its own in April 2019 with USD $23 million closed in Series A funding led by ABS Capital Partners.[2]
In 2020, Deepwatch launched offerings for Managed Detection & Response (MDR), Managed Endpoint Detection & Response (MEDR), and Vulnerability Management (VM) services. In the same year, they closed a $53 million Series B investment led by Goldman Sachs with participation from existing investor, ABS Capital Partners.[3]
In 2021, they launched Deepwatch MOBILE, a mobile application for real-time monitoring of customers’ SOCs and threat intelligence.[4]
Deepwatch has been recognized as a Great Place to Work [5] , Forbes America’s Best Startup Employers (2022)[6] and with a Stevies Gold Achievement in Maintaining a Remote Workforce[7]. Industry recognitions include CyberSecurity Excellence Awards, Cyber Defense Magazine Global Infosec Awards, CyberTech 100 and CISO Choice Awards.
