Denis Wayne Andersen, sometimes spelled Anderson, [1] (born October 29, 1953) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey defenceman. Andersen was selected by the New York Islanders in the 7th round (110th overall) of the 1973 NHL Amateur Draft.[2]
Andersen played major junior hockey with the New Westminster Bruins before turning professional to play the 1973–74 season with the Fort Worth Wings of the Central Hockey League. He continued to play with Fort Worth for the 1974–75 season, before jumping to the North American Hockey League where he played the 1975–76 season with the Erie Blades and Buffalo Norsemen.
Family[edit]
His brother Brian Andersen (born August 31, 1954) was selected by the Minnesota North Stars in the 10th round (164th overall) of the 1974 NHL Amateur Draft.[3]
