Deogiri bank is an urban co-operative bank working mainly in Maharashtra,India[2], with an IFSC code of DEOB0000004 [3]. It has its head office in Aurangabad where it was originated by Late Pralhadji Abhyankar in 1985.[4]. At present, the bank is operating mainly in Aurangabad, Jalna, Ahmednagar, Parabhani, Jalgaon District, Pune & Mumbai.[5]. Deogiri bank is a NEFT member of Reserve Bank of India[6]. The first branch of the Bank was opened on 23rd Jan 1985.

History

Deogiri Bank was originated by Late Pralhadji Abhayankar & other members who worked with Late Pralhadji Abhayankar in initial days were Shri. Haribhau Bagade, Late Shri Jayantrao Choudhari (Dhamangaonkar), Late Shri Chandumal Chotlani, Late Dr. V.G. Gharpure, Shri Sukhdev Nawle, Mrs. Kumud Rangnekar, Shri S.G. Gokhle, Dr M.U. Deshpande, Shri G.R. Rege. All of these people took active part in establishing the bank. The bank was originated in Aurangabad on 23rd Jan 1985.[7]. The Bank has raised paid-up capital of ₹ 26.63 Crores, Reserve Fund & Other Fund of ₹ 207.77 crores, on 31-Mar-2020.
