The deputy premier of Alberta is a minister of the Alberta cabinet The office is conferred at the discretion of the premier and does not have an associated departmental portfolio. Deputy Premiers are appointed to the Executive Council of Alberta and are styled as The Honourable for the rest of their life.
Mike Ellis is the current Deputy Premier and has been serving since June 9, 2023.[1]
