Desiree Gruber (born June 25, 1969) is the CEO of Full Picture, a brand management and production company.[1][2] She is also the executive producer at Project Runway, a fashion reality TV series[3] and co-founder of DGNL Ventures.[4]
Early life and career
Gruber was born in Miami, Florida. She is married to Kyle MacLachlan since April 20, 2002, and has one child, Callum Lyon.
Gruber started her career in 1999 by establishing Full Picture, managing clients including AOL, Condé Nast Entertainment, and Google’s Made with Code.[5] She has been an advisor to Heidi Klum and Naomi Campbell[6] and has helped create two 20-year-old fashion properties—the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and Project Runway.[7]
Gruber worked with Michelle Obama’s Let Girls Learn campaign.[8] In 2009, she established Modelinia.com, a modeling content website.Cite error: The opening <ref> tag is malformed or has a bad name She has also co-founded DGNL Ventures, a start-up that invests in technology, lifestyle, and celebrity companies. She also started Theodora & Callum, an accessories line.[5]
Gruber serves on the boards of the US Fund for UNICEF in New York[5] and God's Love We Deliver.[9] She is also an active member of Project C.A.T. with Discovery Communications.[10]
Awards and recognition
She was selected as one of Harper’s Bazaar-Dolce & Gabbana’s Women to Watch for 2014,[5] one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs of 2010,[11] and has been conferred with over 20 media industry awards.
Personal life
Gruber is married to actor Kyle MacLachlan.[12][13]
