Deus Irae is a Progressive Metal band from Caracas, Venezuela. Formed in November 2002, the group's lineup includes guitarist Alex Irae, guitarist David Irae, and bassist Gabriel Irae. They were active, performing in the Caracas underground scene, between 2002 and 2009.
To date, the band has released two EPs: Demo 2004 and Demo 2007.
Due to the worsening of the Venezuelan political and economic situation, the band entered a 10-year-long hiatus as the members relocated to Europe. In 2020, they made their back catalogue available via the main music streaming services and started working on new music.
Deus Irae comes from Latin and means The wrath of God.
