Devadas Menon (scientist)
Devadas Menon is an Indian media and communication researcher whose expertise is cyberpsychology, digital media behavior, and Uses and gratifications theory.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]In 2025 he has been included in the Stanford University–Elsevier database, Science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators in the discipline of psychology and cognitive sciences.[8][9] According to media reports he was the only Indian researcher included in the ‘Communication and Media Studies’ sub-field of the 2025 Stanford–Elsevier top 2% scientists list.[10][11] Menon began his career as an assistant professor in the Department of Media and Communication at the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) .[12] He later became associated with the Space Applications Centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), working in the area of communication research and science communication.[1][10][13]
He also serves as one of the Editor of the journal Frontiers in Psychology.[14]
