Devadas Menon is an Indian media and communication researcher whose work has been associated with cyberpsychology, and digital media behavior.[1][2] [3][4]According to The New Indian Express, he has been included in the, 2025 Stanford University–Elsevier database, Science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators within the broader discipline of psychology and cognitive sciences.[5][6] Asianet Newsable, reported that he was the only Indian researcher listed in the ‘Communication and Media Studies’ sub-field of the 2025 Stanford–Elsevier top 2% scientists list.[7]
Early life and education
Menon obtained his PhD in communication from Bangalore University. He also holds postgraduate degrees in Mass Communication, Electronic Media, and Sociology[1][7].
Academic career
Menon began his academic career as an assistant professor in the Department of Media and Communication at the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), from 2012 to 2015, where he taught media theory, new media, and research methodology.[8]
He later became associated with the Space Applications Centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), contributing to communication research and science communication.[1][7]
