Career

His debut feature Adda (2019 film) polarised critics during its theatrical release with The Times of India criticising its "certain sense of superficiality in its rather deep monologues or exchanges."[2] while others like Shoma A Chatterji of The Statesman (India) called the film "An accomplished debut"[8] which "suggests more than it tells and that is what makes it quite enjoyable to watch."

He is a film critic for publications such as Thecitizen.in[9] and highonfilms.com[10]

After graduating from NYU, Devayush went to India to explore his fascination with Bollywood and assisted notable filmmakers like Rituporno Ghosh, Kaushik Ganguly, Anurag Kashyap, Birsa Dasgupta, and Ribhu Dasgupta. He was the first AD in director Agneya Singh's debut film M Cream[11] and was also involved in the 2016 film Phobia (2016 film).[12] In 2014 he turned to screenwriting and wrote several popular shows on Indian Television like Emotional Atyachar and Halla Bol.
