Devin R. Pepper is a colonel in the United States Air Force who is currently serving as the commander of the Buckley Garrison, a new unit in the United States Space Force.[1][2] He was previously the commander of the 460th Space Wing before it was inactivated and replaced by the Buckley Garrison.[3] He was also nominated for transfer to the U.S. Air Force.[4]
Pepper enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1989 and received his commission through the Officer Training School in 1996. He is a master space operator and served as a missile launch officer for the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile weapon system. He is married to the former Alicia Montoya of Albuquerque, New Mexico. They have two children: Madilyn, age 12, and Lukas, age 11.[2]
