Dhansheel Kumar[1] is an Indian film director, editor, script and screenwriter who works in Bollywood.
Early life and background
Kumar was born in Chhapra, Bihar. From a young age, he was recognised as a martial artist and boxer. He was raised in Patna before moving to Mumbai. In Mumbai, he lived in Versova, Andheri. He studied at Sainik School Tilaiya in Jharkhand and then Jai Prakash University in Chhapra, Bihar.
He obtained a black belt in karate and studied martial arts.
Professional education
Kumar completed a film making course at Cambridge University including: film making, 3d animation and visual effects.
Education
Dhansheel graduated with a degree in arts from Jai Prakash University, Chhapra, Bihar in 2014.
Career
Dhansheel started his career as a video editor. His official YouTube channel is dhansheel kumar. When he came to Mumbai, he worked with writer/director Manish Gupta as an assistant director in the 2014 Bollywood film Rahasya. He has worked for an information and public relations department. He has made many short films and documentaries. He has done audio and video mixing as a student in Samay Ka Pahiya from the 2008 Hindi film Bhoothnath.[2]
