Dhruv Joshi (born on April 27th, 1986) is a British born music executive, manager and businessman. He is best known as the founder and CEO of Twenty Nine Music Group, a record label headquartered in Florida.[1] He is the co-founder of the music technology platform, Tully, and long-time manager to artist Joyner Lucas.[2][3] As a music producer he is referred to under the alias, Juicebox Slim.[4]

Early life[edit]

Joshi was born in Forest Gate, London. Dhruv’s father who is originally from Tanzania and mother who is from Uganda, both immigrated to the United Kingdom from Africa. Joshi has 2 siblings. Joshi attended Forest Gate High School in Newham. Joshi moved to the United States at 18 years old and studied Recording Arts at Full Sail University, earning his associate degree in 2006.

Early success[edit]

Joshi began using his first computer, a Compaq, as a teen in 1996. He later began using online chat services and social networks to promote affiliate websites as a hobby, which eventually lead him to start his first agency Social Rockfish.

In 2012, Joshi started a marketing agency, specializing in digital advertising and media. The agency became one of Facebook’s early advertisers representing corporate clients, generating leads and sales of over $25 million for direct consumer products online. In 2014, Joshi began applying his company's digital marketing methodology to the music industry, resulting in breaking his first rap artist Joyner Lucas.[5] Together, Lucas and Joshi spoke on a panel about their success at Diddy’s Revolt Summit in 2019.[6] Joshi has made appearances on Will Smith's Will At Home series,[7] Hot97, and other outlets to discuss his marketing strategies with musicians.

Tully App[edit]

Joshi co-founded the San Francisco based technology company Vertical Craft, Inc. in 2015. The company develops various technology tools for artists in the music industry, including Tully App, which was released in 2015. The app provides tools for musicians to release music and manage their careers.[8] Joshi co-founded Vertical Craft with recording artist, Joyner Lucas.[9] In 2019, the company announced its investment from Sony Music Entertainment and its first distribution service with Symphonic Distribution.[10][11][12]

Twenty Nine Music Group[edit]

In 2017, Joshi founded the record label, Twenty Nine Music Group, in Florida. The company released Joyner Lucas’s first album independently, ADHD, which debuted at number ten on the US Billboard 200 in 2020.[13][14] As of 2022, Joshi represents Joyner Lucas, Iyla and other artists.[15][16]

As of 2022, Joshi resides in Orlando, Florida. He has 2 children, one of which is a professional MMA fighter Donavon Hedrick-Joshi.
