Diana Shekhany.[1] (born September 9, 1997) is a Swedish internet personality[2], specifically on YouTube[3]. She is known on YouTube and for her lifestyle, fashion, and vlog[4] content which she shares with her thousands of followers across the world. In recent years she has also drawn large attention to her on the world’s largest social platforms Instagram[5] and TikTok[6] [7].
Early Life
Diana Shekhany was born on the 9th of September 1997 in Stockholm, Sweden.[8] She grew up in a Kurdish household with her parents and two siblings in the Stockholm suburbs.[9] She studied to be a stylist in high school with a focus on becoming a make-up artist. She graduated high school as a certified make-up and fashion artist. During that time she wanted to share her skills and knowledge with others, which ultimately led her to create her own YouTube channel[10]

Shekhany began posting videos on YouTube as early as the year 2014.[11] Her content usually included mainly make-up and hair tutorials where she shared her own tips and expertise within these areas. During that time she was not full-time invested in doing YouTube videos and kept doing videos for fun and to educate others that might find her interesting. Shekhany's big breakthrough came when she uploaded a video of her going through rhinoplasty surgery in Kurdistan, Iraq. She shared it on YouTube to show how the procedure went and how her experiences were. The video has amassed almost 2 million views and was her first viral video to trend on YouTube.[12]. After the rhinoplasty surgery, Shekhany began to take her YouTube career more seriously and put more focus on uploading more consistent content. At that time she also decided to move to London, UK, and pursue vlogging her experiences living and working there. She worked part-time as a juicer at Joe & The Juice[13] and used the rest of her free time to upload videos on YouTube.
