Dicle Özçer (born July 7, 1995) is an Turkish film director, producer, actress and screenwriter.

Life[edit]

She went to Başkent Üniversitesi Özel Ayşe Abla for elementary school and studied at Bilkent Laboratory and International School (BLIS ) for high school. She attended acting workshops held by International Schools Theatre Association (ISTA) in London, UK. Dicle also attended two semesters of summer school at Guildford School of Acting (GSA) in University of Surrey , UK and took advanced acting classes. She completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) in 2013. In the same year, she got accepted to AMDA College and Conservatory of Performing Arts in Los Angeles and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Acting in 2016. In 2017, she got accepted to New York Film Academy (LA) and graduated in 2019 with her Master of Fine Arts degree in Filmmaking.

Dicle Ozcer has written, directed and produced five short films so far:

  • Cracked (2017)
  • Heart and Soul (2018)
  • Broken Circle (2019)
  • Happy Faces (2019)
  • Big Break (2020)

Big Break, after its initial private screening at Warner Bros. Studios, started to get recognition in local and international film festivals. So far, Big Break was selected as an “Official Selection” at 21 film festivals in the United States and Europe. Dicle Ozcer won 4 “Best Director” awards and 6 “Best Comedy” awards in distinguished film festivals. Ozcer’s other short film Broken Circle (2019) won Best Experimental of the Month at The Monthly Film Festival (UK) in 2020.[1] Dicle is currently working on a comedic web series about relationships with another filmmaker friend.
