Didomi is a B2B SaaS technology company that provides a comprehensive solution for managing user consent and preferences related to data privacy across all of their digital properties, including websites, mobile apps, and connected devices. This includes managing consent for cookies, tracking pixels, and other technologies that collect user data. Didomi's platform also provides tools for managing data subject access requests, data breaches, and other aspects of data privacy compliance.
Founded in 2017.[1], the company is headquartered in Paris, France with additional offices in New York, London, and Madrid, and employs over 100 people. Its clients include leading companies across a variety of industries, including financial services, e-commerce, and media with brands such as L'Oreal, Orange, and Michelin[2]
History[edit]
Didomi which means "consent" in ancient Greek (διδομι) was created in response to business needs to comply with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation, a law requiring websites to ask users if they agree to have their data tracked.
In July 2019, Didomi was the first provider to offer a consent management solution dedicated to Accelerated Mobile (AMP) pages[3].
In 2021, they were the first European company to offer a TCF-compliant consent management solution for connected TV[4]. They also raised $40 million Series B funding[5] to pursue their growth and mission of "making privacy easier for everyone" according to Romain Gauthier, CEO and co-founder at Didomi.
In January 2022, Didomi released their Preference Management Platform (PMP)[6] to enable the collection of zero-party data while respecting privacy policies (GDPR/CCPA). The same month, Didomi acquired Agnostik[7], a privacy organization offering data compliance automation services to brands in the publishing and media industries. In July of the same year, Didomi was recognized as a great place to work[8] and in October, they were awarded the ISO 27001 certification[9].
In January 2023, Didomi added its new privacy request solution[10] to its privacy suite, so that businesses could respond in a timely fashion to Data Subject Access Requests[11].
