Dien van Straalen (born 1947 in Zoetermeer, Netherlands; died July 2010 in Den Haag, Netherlands)[1]) was a Dutch costume designer. She was nominated for Academy Award for Best Costume Design for the film Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003).[2] She also nominated for BAFTA Award for Best Costume Design for the same film. She designed costumes for over 20 films, including, Orlando (1992), The Pillow Book (1996), Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003) and The Libertine (2004).
