Diffractor is a Freemium image and video organizer. It indexes local media files to enable fast search and duplicate detection. It supports editing photo, video and audio file metadata as well as limited raster image editing. Diffractor has been reviewed as both video and photo organizing software.[1][2][3]
Features[edit]
Diffractor unifies managing video and photo files; it supports multiple formats.[4] It can search and modify XMP, IPTC, Exif, ID3 and MP4 metadata, locations or tags can be added to batches of files.[5][6]
It uses a search syntax to specify metadata fields and file locations; enabling reasonably complex queries.[7]
Diffractor duplicate detection can be used to determine if external files are already present in folders indexed by Diffractor. It can also find similar images using perceptual hashing.[2]
