Dilip De is an Indian entrepreneur, artist, art collector, curator. He is the founder of RST (formerly known as the Ranadip Shipping Group)[2][3]. He also serves as a member of Jehangir Art Gallery[4][5] and Bombay Art Society[6][7][8]

Education[edit]

Dilip De was educated at La Martiniere, Kolkatta School for Senior Cambridge Certificate and read Bachelor of Commerce at St. Xavier’s College, Kolkatta[9].

Career[edit]

De was recognized by Creators Project as being the first person to create art using his smartphone as a digital canvas.[10] The Ministry of Commerce & Industry issued Copyrights to De for his breakthrough in using a smartphone and stylus to create art. He donated the entire proceeds from the exhibition which was held on 16th August, 2016 at Jehangir Art Gallery to Cancer Patients Aid Association, Mumbai.[11]

Dilip De established Ranadip Shipping to introduce multimodal global containerized shipping service in conjunction with Sea-land Service Inc.[12][2] Dilip K. De serves as Director of Hindustan Cargo Ltd. Mr. De served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Thomas Cook India Ltd. from January 2006 until January 25, 2010.[13]
