Dilip Surana is an Indian businessman who serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of Micro Labs Limited, a pharmaceutical company headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka.[1][2][3]
Early life and family
Surana was born in Bengaluru, Karnataka, into a Jain family. He is the son of G. C. Surana, who founded Micro Labs in 1973, and the elder brother of Anand Surana, who serves as Joint Managing Director of the company.[4][5][6] The family also owns Surana College in Bengaluru.[7]
Career
After the death of his father, Surana took charge of Micro Labs. Under his leadership, the firm expanded into international markets while consolidating its presence in India. The company is particularly noted for its paracetamol formulation Dolo-650, which became one of India’s most prescribed fever medicines during the COVID-19 pandemic.[8][9][10]
