Dinah Lilia Mourise (born October 18, 1978) is a Canadian surgeon, security specialist, and politician.[1][2][3]
Mourise is married to the son of the President of the Supreme Constitutional Court of Egypt, who served as the acting president of Egypt in 2013. She is also a descendent of Nazli Sabri, Queen of Egypt, who married King Fuad I in 1919.[1]
Early life and education[edit]
Mourise is a descendent of Nazli Sabri, Queen of Egypt, who married King Fuad I in 1919. Nazli Sabri moved to the United States and converted to Catholicism when her son was declared king after the death of her husband.[1][4][3]
She first attended the American University in Cairo and then completed her Bachelor’s in Biology from Ain Shams University. She then completed 6 years of post-graduate training from Ain Shams University, Faculty of Medicine.
In 2013, Mourise graduated with a Ph.D. degree in political and forensic sciences from the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom. She moved to Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada in 2014.[1][5][4][3]
Career[edit]
Mourise worked at the Port Said Military Hospital in Egypt under the assistance of Dr. Abdel Hakim Abdel Hamid and Professor Mohamed Refai. She was then appointed as the Chair of Clinical Medicine at the Port Said Military Hospital, where she worked until 2011.[1]
Mourise founded OEIS Investigations, Security, and Protection in 2001. OEIS provides security sector-related training services for security guards, private investigators, and other types of security personnel in Niagara Falls and other parts of the world.[4][3]
Politics[edit]
In 2018, Mourise registered for the October 22 municipal elections against Kip Finn, Jim Diodati, and Kim Craitor. She was the first woman to be nominated for Niagara Falls’ mayor in 2018.[5][2][6]
