History
MAINNET Dingocoin
Dingocoin was created on 1 April 2021, with the genesis block mined on 2 April 2021. It was the first fork of Dogecoin, created originally as an April Fool's joke but which quickly gained steam with miners and traders looking to fill the niche that Dogecoin left behind when it went mainstream in the public eye. Dingocoin was created by a developer named Farsider.
Binance Smart Chain wDingocoin
wDingocoin was launched on 30 August 2021. It was created with a motive to allow small investors and BSC/BNB chain holders to trade with Dingocoin in the form of wDingocoin, a wrapped version of the MAINNET Dingocoin. It was created by a developer named Rayson Kaelbling with an idea in which Dingocoin blockchain coins could be essentially "sent" through a decentralized custodian (which has five linked nodes owned by trusted community members) to the BSC Smart Chain in a 1:1 equivalency and also be sent back to the Dingocoin MAINNET through an automatic mint/burn process built into the smart contract. No additional tokens were created with the contract. This all can be done with the Custodian Portal, located at https://wrap.dingocoin.org
