The currency was launched on 1st November 2021 as Hector DAO by a group of developers, strategists, and marketers as a fork of the Olympus DAO protocol.[4] The project has been launched on the Fantom (FTM) chain.[5] It is an altcoin and it will be the reserve currency of Fantom. In order to maintain price stability, Hector uses the Algorithmic Currency Protocol and is also supported by other decentralized assets.[6][7]
