Discovery Films is a theatrical documentary film division of Discovery Channel, owned by Warner Bros. Discovery. The studio was first launched in 1997 as Discovery Pictures or Discovery Channel Pictures, before being renamed to Discovery Docs in 2004, and finally to Discovery Films in 2007. A number of their documentaries were released in IMAX theaters.
