Both Dissolution Method(ja:溶込方式) and Build-up Method(ja:増補方式) are classifications of the ways for amending laws[1].
Dissolution Method[edit]
Dissolution Method is usually used in ordinances and statutes of many countries.
For example, Common law[2] and Civil law[3] adopt this method.
In this method, The amendment law prescribe alteration of partial text of existing laws.
Therefore, the articles that sets amendments, itself has no direct legal force. It only has legal force through existing laws revised.
Build-up Method[edit]
Build-up Method is especially used in amendments of American Constitution.
And, the similar method was also used in Japanese law in the early Meiji era. However, Dissolution Method is used now.
