Their stage name is derived from burlesque performer Dita Von Teese and actress Greta Garbo.[1] They began to explore drag in Madrid in the mid 1990 and was inspired by RuPaul.[4] Dita Garbo was a member of the androgynous drag group Lujuria ("lust" in Spanish). In Kent, Dita Garbo has hosted the Punk and Plume cabaret.[7] She was named 50th anniversary ambassador for the British advocacy group LGBT Foundation.[8]
Outside of drag, Laws is a dancer, event producer, and teacher who works with children.[2][9] They describe their drag style as "burlesque Hollywood glamour".[1] They appeared in a documentary film about Folkestone.[10]
