Dmitry Gennadievich Polyakov, (Russian: Дми́трий Генна́дьевич Поляко́в; born 16 January 1984) is a Russian conductor and composer graduated from Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He regularly performs in major concert halls in Russia and abroad, and is the author of symphonic works, instrumental concerts, chamber and instrumental music, vocal music, and choral works.

Experienced in orchestral conducting, opera conducting, choir conducting, and work with soloists, he has conducted orchestras and theatres such as the Brandenburg State Orchestra (Germany), Zielona Gora Philharmonic Orchestra (Poland), George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra (Romania), Concert Symphony Orchestra of Moscow Conservatory, Safonov Philharmonic Orchestra, Siberian State Symphony Orchestra (Krasnoyarsk Symphony Orchestra), Murmansk Philharmonic Orchestra, Nizhny Tagil Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera Theatre of Moscow Conservatory, and other collectives.

In 2006, he won third prize in The Contemporary Music Competition in Moscow. In 2011, the premieres of his major works were held. In April 2011, at The Rachmaninov Hall of Moscow Conservatory, his Concertino for Clarinet and Chamber Orchestra with Studio for New music Ensemble was performed. This work is among Dmitry’s most striking and original creations. In May 2011, his Symphonic Poem «Quasar» was performed at the House of Composers in Moscow. In 2010 and 2012, he participated in The Contemporary Music Festival «New Music — New Reality» in Yekaterinburg, where his chamber works were performed. That same year, he participated in a conducting masterclass with maestro Christian Ehwald in Germany, receiving an excellent evaluation from the celebrated maestro. Many of Dmitry Polyakov's works have been performed in Russia and abroad.

In 2014, he became the Music Director and Principal Conductor of The KATMC Theatre.

That same year in Europe, he conducted a series of concerts during the International Forum of young conductors and during the Music Festival «Days of Music» on the Oder, and also participated in the masterclass of Polish maestro Czesław Grabowski.

Dmitry Polyakov is a constant participant of the festival «Musical Offering» which takes place in Murmansk Philharmonic. On February 1, 2015, he opened the festival with the winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels — violinist Andrey Baranov and violist Fedor Belugin.

In April 2015, he took part in the project «Stars of the 21st Century» organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
