Dmitry Gennadievich Polyakov, (Russian: Дми́трий Генна́дьевич Поляко́в; born 16 January 1984) is a Russian conductor and composer graduated from Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He is regularly performing in major concert halls in Russia and abroad, author of symphonic works, instrumental concerts, chamber and instrumental music, vocal music and choral works.

Being experienced in orchestral conducting, opera conducting, choir conducting and work with soloists, he conducted such orchestras and theatres as Brandenburg State Orchestra (Germany), Zielona Gora Philharmonic Orchestra (Poland), George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra (Romania), Concert Symphony Orchestra of Moscow Conservatory, Safonov Philharmonic Orchestra, Siberian State Symphony Orchestra (Krasnoyarsk Symphony Orchestra), Murmansk Philharmonic Orchestra, Nizhny Tagil Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera Theatre of Moscow Conservatory and other collectives.

In 2006 he won the third prize of The Contemporary Music Competition in Moscow. In 2011 were held the premieres of his major works. In April 2011 at The Rachmaninov Hall of Moscow Conservatory was performed Concertino for Clarinet and Chamber Orchestra with Studio for New music Ensemble. This work is among Dmitry’s most striking and original creations. In May 2011 was performed Symphonic Poem «Quasar» in the House of Composers in Moscow. In 2010 and then in 2012 he participated in The Contemporary Music Festival «New Music — New Reality» in Yekaterinburg, where were performed chamber works. In the same year he participated in conducting masterclass with maestro Christian Ehwald in Germany, where he received an excellent evaluation from celebrated Maestro. Many works of Dmitry Polyakov performed in Russia and abroad.

In 2014 — Music Director and Principal Conductor of The KATMC Theatre.

In the same year in Europe he conducted a series of concerts during the International Forum of young conductors and during the Music Festival «Days of Music» on the Oder, and also participated in the masterclass of Polish maestro Czeslaw Grabowski.

Dmitry Polyakov the constant participant of the festival «Musical Offering» which takes place in Murmansk Philharmonic. February 1, 2015 he opened the festival with the winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels — violinist Andrey Baranov and violist Fedor Belugin.

In April 2015 he took part in project «Stars of the 21st Century» organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
