Dobruja dialect of Crimean Tatar or Romanian Tatar language[1] (Tatarşa, Tatar tĭlĭ Crimean Tatar: Dobru şivesi "Dobruja dialect") is spoken by Tatars in Romania[2] and Bulgaria. The language is with Crimean Tatar[3][4][5] and Nogai[6] relative and has very similarities. Is a Turkic language and is in branch Kipchak-Nogai, but has also Oghuz influence and the dialect also has cumanic influences, because the Crimean Tatar language is actually Kipchak-Cuman.

The letters Ĭ and W are not in Crimean Tatar alphabet. Tatars in Dobruja use also Ĭĭ and Ww letters. Ĭ ĭ letter is for [ɪ] and the W w letter is for [w] sound. Crimean Tatars in Crimea use the İ i letter for two sounds [ɪ] and [i], the letter V v is also two sounds [w] and [v], but in Dobrudja has every letter one sound, İ i is [i] and V v is [v][7].
