This 247th Letter is known as Weapon Letter ஆய்த எழுத்து Romanized: Āyta eḻuttu. This is not letter used in day-to-day life Tamil Speech, but after the Industrialization and Globalization this letter came into use. This letter used to write Tamil transliteration for English Words. (Example: Facebook translit ஃபேஸ்புக்). This Letter looks like a three triangular dots on a plane ஃ. [1][2]

Writing appeared after speech first appeared in the world. That is, linear writing appeared only after writing appeared. Hearing by the ear is writing. Visual summary. Linear characters are being replaced by scholars over time. It is called "singular" because it stands alone, without vowels, without consonants, without vowels, and stands alone. This one letter is only a three dot character. That is why this letter is called three-point. Named Aḥkēṉam based on sound. Āyta usually means tool. The Trident was one of the weapons used by the warriors on the battlefield. The Trident has three pointed tips. If you look at only those three ends it will appear as a triangle. At the three ends of the skewer, inserting the lemon fruit, it can be understood that it looks like ஃ.

There are no references to this scripture in early sangam periods. But this letter is mentioned in Tolkappiyam and Thirukkural. Later this letter was not widely used. But in modern times this letter is used to write Tamil Muslim names and modern English terms.
