Doc Melton (1911[2] – November 15, 2002) was an American politician.[3] He served as a Democratic member for the 14th district of the Florida Senate.[4][5]

Life and career[edit]

Melton attended Florida Southern College.[1]

In 1959, Melton was elected to represent the 14th district of the Florida Senate.[4] In 1965, he suffered a heart attack while speaking during a session of the Senate.[6][7] He served until 1966.[4]

Melton died in November 2002, at the age of 91.[1]
