Dodge City Crips
The Dodge City Crips (DCC) are a street gang from San Pedro, California, they were founded in 1972 as a set of the Crips. They have about 100 members from San Pedro.
Rancho San Pedro vs Dodge City Crips
Until 1996, Dodge City and Rancho San Pedro coexisted in the Rancho San Pedro housing projects[1] until when a Dodge City Crip member was murdered, allegedly by the Rancho San Pedro Gang.[1] Fatal shootouts would occur between Dodge City and Rancho San Pedro members.
Other notable incidents
In 1988, a Dodge City member, Angelo Regino, committed attacks against other people while acting like Freddy Krueger in the movie A Nightmare on Elm Street. He attacked people in San Pedro and Santa Monica[2] using a sawed-off shotgun and wearing a fedora and a bandana over his face.[3] Angelo was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1989, without the possibility of parole.[2]
Other Rivals
Dodge City Crips, along with RSP, were rivals with Wilmington's Wilmas 13. Their rivalry would end when Dodge City and RSP’s rivalry would get more intense in 1996.[4]
