The Dodil is a remouldable sex toy developed and manufactured by the company trading under the same name. The product can by hand be molded into personal shapes with as an aid for masturbation. The Dodil company is based in Örebro, Sweden with an office in Cologne, Germany.
Product[edit]
Dodil is a non-vibrating dildo made of silicone filled with non-toxic thermoplastic. This allows users to alter the shape of the item by submerging it in boiling-hot water for thirty minutes, and then carefully shaping it as it cools down.[1][2] This is a unique feature of the product.[3]
Safety concerns[edit]
One reviewer managed to break the outer silicone after not following the instructions, causing the product to fail.[2]
History[edit]
In 2016 Richard Almgren developed the combination of a heat-sensitive thermoplastic and a silicone cover. The brand is owned by Buildovations AB, based in Sweden, who filed for a patent and sought out manufacturing.[4][5]
In October 2017, Dodil attended the eroFame tradeshow in Hanover, Germany.[6][7] The company was one of twelve nominated in the "New Pleasure Products Company of the Year" category of the 2017 XBIZ Awards in the United States.[8][9]
